The guitar sings quietly,
Over the wind,
The grass blows softly, it is my only friend,
The horses, well they graze in this pasture,
That I sit in so often, watching they're stature

I observe and I watch,
Oh, how I wish I could ride,
Get on their backs, ride them through the winds,
Oh how they glide

I hear their whinnies, their brays and their whickers,
I watch as people come to put on their rain slickers,
They romp and they play, they look so happy, so divine,
Oh, how I wish, one were mine

They rush through the wind, jump the impossible,
They are amazing to me, the way their manes whip in the air,
The way their tails play tag with another mare

But the most amazing to me, is how God made them,
He so perfect, We so dirty, still are blessed,
With an animal of such grace, Is life at best...
