Your Face

Even though I never met you, you are beautiful,
I'm not sure if I'll ever get such the pleasure to see Your face,
Such beauty, such grace,
I'm sure it shines like a light, a beacon in the darkest night,
Your face, its bright like the sun,
Like a beam through the clouds, You shower down,
Like a lightening bolt, Your power makes me quiver and shake,
Like a new flower, such beauty You make.
That, is just half, of Your face...

The Balm To My Sores....

How can I describe this pain?
Howabout with a knife, slice it through my vein?
Despite my efforts, the hurt wont go away, I dont even know why I try anymore,
I know I'm going to get pushed away, to distance myself in the end,
So why try? Just make this stop..I need a friend.
Never thought about Jesus, just turned to pain and cuts,
But I know now I need him, He'll make these chills go warm and the cuts heal to scars,
He'll count me as one of His children, as many as His stars.
He'll be that one in a million, the friend to rely on,
When my tears fall, He'll grab me and say, "I'm that shoulder to cry on."
But I need no tears anymore, He quiets them all,
With just a bend of the knee, all is well, and all is calm.

The Gift

Now the meaning of Christmas isn't Christ at all.
It's how many gifts you get and give, and how your tree is tall,
How much money you can spend,
It's the food and the family, and thats all great and dandy,
But does anyone remember that its when we celebrate Christ's birth?
The gifts we should be giving, is in our hearts and heads,
The gifts we should be giving, is joy and love instead,
Our gift to Jesus Christ this day, should be praise for him,
For He is the greatest gift of all, the gift for all of men.

Christmas has just taken flight,
Everyone scurryin' to get the last of the gifts,
Cleaning their houses, making their pies, and stringing up lights,
Families a-gatherin' and joy abounding, and stomachs will be rounding,
But does anyone even remember the true meaning of this?
Its not just X-mas, a Happy Holiday or a seasons greeting, but its CHRISTmas,
Seems everyones forgotten, the the Holy Begotten was born that day,
To grow up and one day, die for you, and for I.
